IVAM Microtechnology Network
The IVAM Microtechnology Network and its member companies successfully participated in Medical Manufacturing Asia (MMA) 2024, which took place in Singapore from September 11 to 13, 2024, and set important accents. Held in parallel with Medical Fair Asia, the trade fair provided an ideal platform to showcase the latest technologies and solutions for the medical technology industry. Manufacturers, suppliers, healthcare professionals and industry leaders took the opportunity to network and discuss innovations for the Asian market.
Singapore, as the central hub of medical technology in the ASEAN region, once again proved its importance as a host country. Thanks to its strategic location and the growing importance of the Asian medical technology market - the second largest in the world - the trade fair offered exhibitors unique opportunities to expand their market presence.
The international companies presented pioneering innovations for medical technology. The focus was on technologies such as product and contract manufacturing, microsensor technology, lab-on-a-chip systems, microfluidics, biocompatible materials and advanced coatings. The companies used the trade fair to present a wide range of products and services, which met with great interest from the technical audience.
The IVAM session “High-Tech for Medical Devices” took place on September 12, 2024. As part of the forum, leading minds from the fields of micro and nanotechnology presented cutting-edge innovations that will shape the medical devices of tomorrow. The forum provided an excellent opportunity for technology and healthcare professionals to learn about the latest developments and exchange ideas.
Another highlight was the awarding of the IVAM Marketing Award Asia, which was honored to AMT Pte. Ltd. The company impressed with its innovative solutions in the field of advanced materials and medical technology as well as an outstanding marketing strategy. The award recognizes companies that distinguish themselves through creative and strategically effective marketing measures in the high-tech and medical technology sector.
The jury, consisting of Uwe Kleinkes (IVAM Advisory Board), Shirley Lim (Messe Düsseldorf Asia) and An Wei Wong (Singapore Precision Engineering And Technology Association), praised AMT's excellent marketing activities, which have further strengthened the company as a pioneer in the field of medical technology. The prize includes a one-year membership of IVAM, advertising space on the Medical Fair Asia website and extensive visibility on IVAM's global channels.
As part of the fair, IVAM members and exhibitors took the opportunity to visit Racer Technology in Singapore. This company visit offered exciting insights into Racer Technology's state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and their innovative solutions for medical technology. The exchange fostered collaboration between IVAM members and international industry players and helped to strengthen existing partnerships.
