COMPAMED, held in Düsseldorf in November parallel to MEDICA, has established itself as an outstanding platform for key technologies in the medical technology supply industry. The IVAM Microtechnology Network reflects positively on four days of intense international activities.
The IVAM joint booth "Hightech for Medical Devices" was the most extensive focus area at COMPAMED with 50 exhibitors from 12 different nations. The diversity of showcased technologies, especially in the field of optics and precision technology, underscores the innovation power of the microtechnology industry.
The joint area became a focal point to explore the latest developments in microcomponents, sensors, actuators, micropumps, coatings, smart textiles, as well as manufacturing and processing methods and services. After the pandemic years, Asian companies were again represented in the joint area, emphasizing the growing international resonance.
A significant portion of the professional audience at the IVAM Product Market also came from abroad. According to the event organizers, three-quarters of the visitors from 166 nations outside Germany attended. Dr. Thomas Dietrich, Managing Director of IVAM, emphasized the importance of international collaboration in the current global context. "I am pleased to see that this year at COMPAMED, international cooperation was once again a major focus. Especially in times of global crises, I consider this to be particularly important. The exhibitors at our joint booth are also pleased with the high international visitor frequency and the quality of these contacts."
Another international highlight was the "Europe meets USA" action day within the COMPAMED HIGH-TECH Forum. The successful continuation of this event specifically promoted collaboration between component manufacturers, device manufacturers, and users from Europe and the USA in the field of medical technology. The accompanying expert discussions and the concluding international networking event contributed to successful contacts and fruitful cooperations.
The forum complemented the themes of the joint booth and provided insights into the latest developments and technology trends in the medical technology industry. With more than 60 presentations, it also served as an information source for market opportunities for medical technology companies, attracting more than 1200 interested visitors to Hall 8a.
During the fair, the IVAM Executive Club also convened, where two dozen international CEOs from the IVAM network discussed strategic issues and international legal frameworks with the COMPAMED/MEDICA trade fair management.
