Microtechnology and Photonics: IVAM presents numerous activities at W3

Micro and nanotechnology are enormously important in manufacturing, positioning, coatings, finishing and quality management of optical components. Therefore the IVAM Microtechnology Network will be represented at the W3+ Fair 2023 on March 29 and 30 in Wetzlar with various activities. 

Photonics trends at the technical forum

The W3+ Fair, networking trade fair for optics, microtechnology and precision mechanics opens its doors in Wetzlar for the ninth time. At the "N-tec Talks" specialist forum a photonics experts from the IVAM network will present their know-how in the fields of "Silicon Photonics"(AMO), "Quantum Applications"(CSEM) and "LED-, Laser- and Detectorchips" (Chips4Light).

Microtechnologies for Optical Devices

In addition to IVAM, three exhibitors will present themselves in the special exhibition area "Microtechnologies for Optical Devices":

Micreon GmbH a prestigious contract manufacturer and technology consultant for micromachining with femtosecond lasers. The company develops, manufactures and finishes components for medical technology, electronics, the pharmaceutical industry, toolmakers and automobile manufacturers.

LightFab GmbH is a young technology company in the field of laser technology. The company produces microstructured glass components with UKP laser radiation as well as the microscanner suitable for their productive manufacturing - the "LightFab".

The coordination office (mIQu) brings companies from the micro- and nanotechnology sector throughout Germany together by setting up or promoting the development of advanced training networks. 

IVAM Focus Group Photonics meets for networking 

The IVAM Focus Group Photonics will meet at W3 on March 29, 2023, first for a session on "Photonics & Microtechnology", followed by discussions and a networking apéro, where the exhibiting companies and partners of the event will meet together with speakers to conclude the first day of the fair.
