The thermal photovoltaic system (TPV) of Duropan Alliance is a hybrid system that combines thermovoltaic technology cohesively with photovoltaic technology.
Today's photovoltaic (PV) technology is characterized by an increased sensitivity to heat within rising temperature-stress. Because of that, the TPV-system, consisting of a thermal transmitter (fluid flowed through support plate as a thermal diffuser, thermal barrier with embedded thermoelectric generators, thermal accumulator), which will be cohesively positioned on the surface of silicon solar cells, was developed.
